The Joker! I am not talking the Heath Leger joker either. I am talking about the joker that was a buffoon in the 1970's Batman series with Adam West. At least the Heath Leger joker was serious about destroying the establishment. College football is full of jokes.
Joke 1: The constant paper and computer champions they produce every year.
Joke 2: The amount of weeks that pass before the Championship game is played(4-6weeks)
Joke 3: To have to be undefeated to make it to the championship game and then when a team does they tell us oh they haven't played anybody or the conference wasn't good this year.
Joke 4: That all these bowl games make more money than a playoff system.
Joke 5: Big schools playing sister of the poor.
I have a system for college football that would absolutely destroy the NFL and its' ratings.
Here it is you take the top 8 divisions ie SEC/Pac 10/ACC/Big 10/Atlantic/Big 12/WAC/ and Big East or whatever. You make 2 Conferences and each conference has 4 divisions. For arguments sake South division would consist of Big 10/SEC/ACC/WAC.
Now each division would play each other and another division that same year. For example the Big 10 would play each other and the SEC and then the following Big 10 would play each other then the PAC 10.
The top four teams of each conference (winners of their divisions would play a playoff) and the finalist in each conference play the final game. Now tell me if this would not make money.
At least every Saturday we would have a power house game. Instead of seeing Florida against Tin Buck Two we could see Florida playing their own division as well as the whole Pac 10 for example.
If the aforementioned doesn't appeal you all then do this.
Make a 2 conferences with two divisions. One conference has SEC/Big10/ WAC/Atlantic and the other has Big12/ACC/Big East or whatever. Here then you play 6 teams from your conference and 6 teams from the other conference based on record the previous year. Take the top team in each each conference based on record and there is a national team. These two aforementioned systems would make money and better recruiting. I think there would be more parity in College football.
